Mehlman TerBeek LLP was established by Steven J. Mehlman and Marc L. TerBeek in 2002, with the goal of providing superior representation at reasonable rates and in a cost-effective manner. The firm&8217;s practice combines three principal practice areas: real estate, business, and civil litigation.

With respect to real estate and business matters, the firm regularly engages both as transactional lawyers and litigators. As transactional lawyers, our approach is to facilitate making deals work while protecting their clients&8217; interest, rather than becoming road blocks to the consummation of deals or deal breakers.

However, when transactions have gone wrong, Mehlman TerBeek LLP attorneys are aggressive and tenacious litigators both in the state and federal courts and in arbitration. We also have a high success rate in resolving cases through mediation, where appropriate, and thereby substantially reducing lawyers&8217; fees and litigation expenses.

The attorneys in the firm collectively have decades of legal experience. Steven J. Mehlman has been practicing law since 1980, and works primarily in the areas of real estate and business law, handling both transactions and civil litigation. Marc L. TerBeek focuses his practice in civil litigation, including insurance coverage disputes, employment litigation, personal injuries and business and real estate matters. Cynthia Hannon has considerable and varied experience in assisting clients with Civil matters. Timothy A. Walker has 12 years of experience practicing civil litigation in both California and Hawaii, where he was formerly a partner of a 32 member law firm at which he engaged in a varied civil litigation practice in State and Federal Courts and administrative hearings.
